No — a marine grade battery box is included, but the battery itself is not. The Kohler engine is electric start with a high-output charging system, so you just add a battery, connect it, and it's ready to run.

What fuel does this machine use?

The Kohler Command Pro engine runs on gasoline, and the Beckett burner that heats the water runs on diesel from the onboard 8 gallon poly tank with fuel filter. You'll fuel both to run hot water.

Does it arrive assembled and ready to use?

Yes — every unit is completely factory assembled and tested in the USA before shipping, and it's delivered ready to operate. You only need to add a battery, fuel, and diesel for the burner.

What protects the machine from overheating?

It has three layers of protection: a high-limit over-temp shutoff, a safety pressure relief valve, and a thermo-sensor that prevents overheating when the pump runs in bypass mode with the trigger released.
