Overview
Ameri-Seal Coating Stripper GEL Formula is a zero-VOC, biodegradable paint and coating stripper in a thick gel that clings to vertical and detailed surfaces without dripping or running. It uses the same stripping chemistry as the Ameri-Seal spray formula, softening oil-based, solvent-based, and water-based coatings — latex, acrylics, alkyds, stains, lacquers, urethanes, and epoxies — in 20-30 minutes, and it can lift multiple layers in one application. Once the coating softens, pressure wash or scrape it away. Because the gel stays put and stays wet longer, it's the right pick for doors, shutters, spindles, carved millwork, overhead work, and furniture or cabinet restoration where a liquid stripper would run off. The 5-gallon pail covers 750-1,000 sq ft, with no methylene chloride, NMP, or caustics.
