Overview
The General Pump HP4040 is a heavy-duty belt-drive pressure washer pump rated 4.0 GPM at 1450 RPM (4.75 GPM at 1750 RPM) with a 4000 PSI maximum discharge pressure. Built for continuous-duty use, it runs a forged brass manifold backed by General Pump's exclusive lifetime manifold warranty, solid ceramic plungers with lubricated packings, oversized connecting rods, and tapered roller bearings in a large-capacity anodized aluminum oil-bath crankcase. The 24 mm (.945") solid shaft and slow 1450/1750 RPM operating speed make it a fit for belt-drive machines where pump longevity matters — contractors replacing a worn belt-drive pump or building a new skid. Ports are 1/2" BSPP-F inlet and 3/8" BSPP-F discharge; max fluid temperature is 165°F.
