Overview

This is a 1/4" zinc plated steel male quick-connect plug for pressure washer plumbing — the plug half that snaps into a matching 1/4" quick-connect socket. Use it to convert a threaded connection point on your hose, trigger gun, lance, or machine outlet into a tool-free quick-connect, so you can swap guns, wands, and accessories in seconds instead of wrenching fittings on and off. Zinc plating gives the steel body corrosion resistance for wet-duty work. Pair it with a 1/4" quick-connect socket (coupler) of the same size; it is a common replacement when an old plug gets worn, rusty, or starts to leak at the collar.

Yes, the zinc plating is there specifically to protect the steel from rust in wet pressure-washing service. For maximum corrosion resistance in harsh chemical or coastal environments, stainless or brass fittings hold up longer, but zinc plated steel is the standard, economical choice.

Use thread seal tape or pipe sealant on the threaded end when installing any pressure washer fitting — it prevents leaks at the threads. The quick-connect end itself seals with the socket's internal O-ring and needs no sealant.
