Overview

This is a 1/4-inch brass male quick-connect socket for pressure washers — the coupler half of a standard quick-connect pair. Snap a matching 1/4-inch quick-connect plug into it and you can swap nozzles, lances, hoses, and accessories in seconds instead of threading and taping fittings every time. Brass construction holds up to routine pressure-washing use and resists corrosion better than plated steel. It's a common replacement when an old coupler starts leaking or the collar wears out, and a cheap upgrade if your machine still uses threaded-only connections. Pair it with a 1/4-inch quick-connect plug on the mating side to complete the connection.

Frequently asked questions

It accepts a standard 1/4-inch quick-connect plug — the mating half of the pair. Put the plug on your nozzle, lance, or hose end and it snaps into this socket, letting you change attachments without wrenches or thread sealant.

The socket is the coupler body with the spring-loaded collar; the plug is the stem that snaps into it. You need one of each to make a connection — this listing is the socket half.

Brass resists corrosion from water and detergents better than plated steel, so the coupler keeps sealing and releasing smoothly over time. It's the standard material for pressure-washer quick-connect fittings in this size.

Check the fitting you're replacing or the connection on your gun, lance, or nozzle — 1/4 inch is the most common size for pressure-washer nozzle and lance connections. If you're unsure, call APS with your machine's model and we'll confirm the right fitting.
