Overview
The PL-1/2-THERMO is a 1/2" thermal relief valve that protects your pressure washer pump from overheating. It threads into a 1/2" male NPT port and opens to dump hot water once the water trapped inside the pump reaches 140°F — which happens when the machine sits in bypass and recirculates. Venting that hot water pulls in cool inlet water, keeping the pump below the temperature that cooks seals and packing. It's for anyone running a pressure washer that idles in bypass. A leaking valve means it's worn out or has already seen water hot enough to damage the pump, so replace it promptly to protect pump and unloader life.
