PL-1/4-THERMO

Overview

The PL-1/4-THERMO is a thermal relief valve with a 1/4" male NPT inlet that protects your pressure washer pump from heat damage. When water trapped inside the pump reaches 140°F, the valve opens and dumps the hot water so cool water can take its place, keeping the pump seals and unloader from cooking. Heat like that builds up most often in bypass mode, when the trigger is off and water recirculates inside the pump without flowing out. The aluminum-alloy body threads into the pump manifold. If the valve starts leaking, it's either worn out or your water got hot enough to trip it and cause damage, so replacing it is critical to your pump and unloader's lifespan.
