Overview

This is a pressure washer inlet filter with a 3/8" inlet and a 1/4" bypass port. It installs on the water supply side of the pump to screen out grit, sand, and debris before they reach the pump seals and valves, which is the leading cause of premature pump wear. The 1/4" bypass port gives you a spot to plumb an unloader bypass or thermal relief return back to the inlet. It's a common replacement filter for triplex and axial pump setups where the water source isn't perfectly clean. Keep a spare on hand and check the screen regularly if you draw from a tank or well.
